For Veterans dental costs are only covered by a small number of people who are rated 100% disabled Veterans and receive benefits awarded to them by the Veterans Administration. The 100% disabled Veterans receive zero financial compensation to cover their spouses and children dental care costs which in turn tanks the Veterans financial benefit just trying to keep the teeth healthy in their spouses and children‼️ When Veterans children need required braces or wisdom teeth removed surgically it’s not covered by the Veterans Administration. After the spouse and children endure caring for their Veteran family member especially 100% disabled Veterans receive, the wear and tear of this love and dedication get unrecognized and not paid for with any financial compensation whatsoever. Veteran DAVA Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary lifetime members get nothing from their organization DAVA and zero emotional and zero financial support. Zero benefits go to the spouses of these Veterans who give their entire life to love and care every single day for up to many many many decades. These spouses of 100% disabled Veterans are financially abused by the Veterans Affairs by allowing zero remuneration for any services rendered in the care of their spouse. This intensive ongoing care provided by spouses to their disabled Veteran is shunned as nothing of any importance when in actuality it is a severe intentional oversight because in the lifetime of the caring spouse towards their 100% disabled Veteran the toll on the spouses life and health is ASTRONOMICALLY high and often deadly due to premature aging, high toll on emotional physical mental wellbeing and financial straits unable to even contribute to the above stressors that lead to worse dental health and overall health of spouses and their children.
For example the cost to pay a person for the services rendered to care 24 hours every day for one day to four, five or more decades is talking a hefty financial cost amounting to approximately well over a million dollars depending upon the quality of care and services rendered to. 100% disabled Veterans spouses never see a penny of compensation for their lifetime service out of love, ethics and respect and compassion for their Veteran. Also, spouses of disabled Veterans and especially 100% Veterans are treated in a manner that is to a great fault of the Veterans Affairs and Administration due to the fact that the VA looks upon spouses that are care providers as merely nothing of value or importance and entirely ignore the spouses as though the spouse was a nonentity when in fact if it were not for the spouse and children providing the care essential to the 100% disabled Veteran family member, the disabled Veteran would be in a dire state of health and wellness due to the fact that the VA only provides care for medical services.
The Veterans Administration compensates 100% disabled Veterans with only $100 or less every month regardless of COLA Cost of Living Allowance! This shortchange compensation allowance for Veteran spouses reflects the value placed on Veteran spouses and signals to the Veteran the inequality of the value merited to each spouse especially as valueless and insignificant when in reality the caring spouse has given every ounce of their life blood and braun to be ethical loving wives and husbands as should be.
The Veterans Affairs Administration should step up to the bat and treat disabled Veteran spouses and children with more financial compensation than they have been doing and in fact should pay the caregiver spouses lump sum compensation especially to care providers that had no choice to do it as seeking work outside of the home would not in any way be proper caregiver support. The VA knew for a very long time that Veterans were being taken advantage of by their spouses and partners along with all the funds and accommodations provided to veterans, a fact espoused to veterans from abuses of past veterans who lost everything to their spouse through divorce and other means. The VA wanted to show Veteran spouses and partners that the Veterans are not to be taken advantage by their spouses and thus give the spouse nothing. This nothing the VA gives to spouses is furthermore a negative towards the often decades long love and dedication in providing care. Spouses of Veterans are utterly discriminated to the point that VA says all VA compensation income is strictly the Veterans. Veterans in turn tell their spouses that the money from the Veterans Administration is strictly theirs and they are right. The spouse is not entitled to a single penny.
Which in turn quantifies the spouse of the Veteran in their marital state be it a day or lifetime with zero financial control of marital resources. Think how well this goes over in America when married couples share 50% of the assets with their spouse. That’s never the case with Veterans especially 100% disabled Veterans. Spouses don’t even get a decent amount of money from the VA should the Veteran die. The spouse of a 100% disabled Veteran upon the Veterans death after over a decade of marriage receives on average a pittance of what the Veteran received every month thereafter the Veterans death. This means all the compensation for the Veteran in its entirety is likely to vanish because the spouse will not have the funds to sustain the lifestyle and mortgage, taxes and insurance and other costs to live. This means the spouse is left bereft and likely homeless and soon to follow their deceased Veteran to the grave too from financial duress, financial stress, and the pain and suffering most of all upon losing their best friend and lover of their lifetime!
The DAV and DAVA used to lobby and advocate back a few decades ago but lost their gumption after the last few World War II veterans remained alive. An ER Doctor’s Story Unravels…
Upon arrival at the Emergency Room the Incoming patient asked the security guard to assist them into the ER as the patient was experiencing a severe issue.
The patient was checked in and awaiting to be evaluated by the nurse. The nurse readied the patient to be seen by another nurse thereafter. After an hour wait the patient was called into the inner sanctum of the ER where another nurse took vital signs and requested an EKG of another nurse.
The EKG was performed and the patient sent back to the ER waiting room until the ER doctor could see them. About an hour later the patient was called back to see the ER Doctor who evaluated the patient, ordered blood tests to help determine what was happening with the patient, and asked the patient what medication they were taking, what symptoms they were experiencing and when the onset of the symptoms occurred.
The doctor was upbeat and caring and concerned, settling close to the patient and their escort. The doctor advised the patient to stop taking a newly prescribed medication as it could be the cause of the patient’s discomfort and emergency symptoms.
The ER doctor said that they would get the patient some medication right away to help subdue the serious condition plaguing the patient. The patient was a veteran and had not been treated at the hospital or ER there prior to this day.
The doctor was very amiable and kind and cheerful about the expectations of the drug that was to be administered shortly. The patient left the doctor and waited in the corridors of the inner ER awaiting the drug proffered to them. After taking the medication the patient was upbeat and hopeful to feel better.
The patient was sent back to the still overflowing waiting room and waited there for almost 5 hours. The patient’s escort went to see if the patient had been called back to see the ER doctor and missed hearing their name per chance. The office personnel said the patient had not been called back yet to see the doctor.
It was now precisely almost 7 hours since the patient arrived in the ER. About a half hour after the inquiry the patient was called back to see the nurse and subsequently the doctor. The patient was as bad off as when they arrived very sick to the point that a stroke or heart attack could easily strike.
The physician entered the room after the nurse left. The doctor was like an entirely different person unconcerned about the patient completely to the point of Ad nauseam. The doctor did a 180 degree reversal of his earlier stance regarding the patient. The doctor said to continue taking the recently prescribed medication that was believed to be the cause of the patients emergency condition today. The doctor said the medication they gave the patient in the morning was not showing any improvement for the patient. The doctor who had been excited to offer the medication there at the hospital and or fill the Rx for it later that day was now not in any way shape or form willing to do that now. The ER doctor told the patient of his ongoing medical history and stopped short of that. Then the ER doctor told the patient that the VA would supply them with things they needed and had all kinds of samples for Veterans. The patient’s escort said no the VA didn’t have samples such as that for Veterans. At this point the patient was in no way able to fend for themselves.
The doctor suddenly seemed cold and withdrawn towards the patient and appeared to want the patient to suffer and even die. The doctor was Caucasian and the patient was the same, but racial discrimination felt like it could be at play in this deadly game the doctor seemed to be caught up in regarding his patient here and now. The patient couldn’t see or feel anything off or toxic about the ER doctor nor note the turnaround in the ER doctor concerning their care then and there. It was a bad flick a nightmare unraveling before the escorts eyes. The escort was able to convince the doctor to prescribe the necessary medication to a local pharmacy after the escort begged for the medication that was believed would save the patients life. The doctor agreed to send the prescription to the pharmacy and exited the examination room. The patient was able to get the medication needed and it improved their symptoms enough to be able to see their primary doctor at the VA later the next week. The patient is stable today. This story is written because the escort of the patient was shocked, saddened beyond measure, and revolted at the discrimination that issued forth from the ER doctor that day.
Note: If you and yours experience something like this never sit back and just take in this lack of treatment and care stemming from prejudice and perhaps WOKE indoctrination of the government and establishment in medicine today because it’s racism against Caucasian peoples and it’s worse than the slavery and segregation black peoples faced in the little over 100 years of slavery and shortly thereafter. WOKE racist doctrine held up and practiced by Caucasian doctors or others is a worse crime against humanity than almost anything else. This doctor breeches their
Hippocratic Oath in several categories by wanting to deny services, withholding medicine, and showing outright distain and disgust towards the Veteran. The same Veteran who gave all they could give in their capacity as a United States Military personnel to the point of becoming extremely sick as a result thereof. All was given by this honorably discharged veteran in order to serve one nation under God to honor and protect America and her people from harm and danger…So Er doctors could practice medicine freely in America and live within the safety and security of the United States of America Constitution!
